After months of discussion by the DDCA, Gautam Gambhir finally has a kiosk named after him at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
According to the Indian Express, the move could happen as early as next month at the start of the Ranji mode.
"The Apex Council approved the stand in the name of Gautam Gambhir. It should be near the end of the stadium (Ambedkar football stadium)," said DDCA Joint Secretary Rajan Manchanda.
The ruling comes three days after Rajat Sharma's departure from the DDCA chairman on Saturday reported "pulls and pressures" within the board.
The minutes of the upcoming Apex Council meeting in the first week of June state: "The proposal was adopted unanimously and the CEO was instructed to take the necessary steps in this regard. 'Gautam Gambhir attitude' as a mark of recognition and appreciation of Mr Gautam Gambhir's contribution to national and international cricket '.
Earlier in September, India's leader Virat Kohli was honored with a kiosk named after him at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Former India cricketers Bishan Singh Bedi and Mohinder Amarnath also have their names on the court.
