India vs Cricket Australia 11 Snapshots – Prithvi Shaw slams fast fire 66, Virat Kohli beats half a century

India's new star, Prithvi Shaw, started his Australian tour with a 69-ball high score 66 on the second day of the warm-up match between India and Australian Cricket XI. Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Hanuma Vihari also took half a century, while KL Rahul was the only remarkable failure.

Rahul opened the batting with Shaw, but he only fell for 3 runs with only 16 runs on the board. Shaw and Pujara were then added 80 runs for the second wicket. Shaw, who hit the fast-paced races of 134, 70 and 33 * in his first three appearances in the international cricket against West Indies last month, continued in the same way.

Shaw struck 11 fours to 66 before dropping to Luke Robbins with India's 96th mark.

Captain Virat Kohli also took several runs under his belt before the test series with 64 of 87 traditions. These and Pujara (54) added 73 runs for the third wicket.

Pujara lost 54 of 89 balls with 6 quads.

Kochli seemed to be in perfect contact as he dropped 7 quadruple and a six.

Kohli, however, started in an unfortunate fashion as 19-year-old Aaron Hardie was kept in a freak catch afterwards.

Hanuma Vihari helped himself half a century too. Vihari scored 53 before dropping into Dylon Arcy Short.

Ajinkya Rahane (56) and Rohit Sharma (40) were also added before the series. India's 9, 10 and 11 numbers fell for ducks, while Rishabh did not stay for 11, as India finished at 358.
