MEITY launches the Smart-board for effective monitoring of key programs

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) launched an Automated Real Time Performance Smart Board on Thursday to effectively monitor and measure key government programs such as Digital India, Aadhaar, digital payments etc. by Ravi Shankar Prasad , Minister of Electronics and Information, Communication and Law and Justice, while celebrating the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

During the event, Prasad asked the National Information Technology Center (NIC) to place at least one thought on Gandhi on every government website. He said this would bring a Gandhian approach to the operation of government.

The Smart-board aims to be a single access to windows for Center, State or District projects implemented by MeitY. It will provide real-time, dynamic analytical project monitoring for the ministry's critical and high-priority program. "The smart board will enhance analytics through data integration (using APIs / web services), integrating multiple data sources into one central easy access platform. This automated real-time performance benchmark will promote transparency and improve ease of work. ", the ministry said in a statement.
