Rishi Kapoor, Neetu's husband to return to India in September: Report

New Delhi: Rishi Kapoor and his wife Neetu, who temporarily moved to the US for actor's medical treatment, are likely to return to India in the coming months.

Kapoors have been staying in New York since September 2018. A DNA report on Saturday said they will fly out of Big Apple in September. However, there is no official confirmation of development by the couple or the family.

Before moving from India, Rishi Kapoor had tweeted that he "is taking a short leave from work to go to America for some medical care". However, he did not reveal the illness and urged the well-meaning "not to worry or to speculate unnecessarily."

Only in May the 66-year old veteran opened for his illness and said he had no cancer.

In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, he said: "The eighth month of my treatment started in May in the United States, but God was good, I'm in recession, that is, I am now without cancer."

At the same time, Rishi Kapoor also tweeted: "I am now completing eight months here in New York. When will I ever come home?"

Neetu Kapoor has remained on his side in the US for the whole year. Their children Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor have regularly visited the couple.

While in the US, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor host a stream of visitors to their home. Stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt (rumored to be Ranbir) and many others visited.
