This is the London Design Week this week and there are so many exciting new exhibits, products, partnerships and pop ups that I do not expect to see! One of those I am looking forward to is the pop-up The Sofa and Chair Company. Luxurious sofas and furniture specialists collaborated with leading Designers Guild, Jason D & Souza and Romo to rethink some of their classic pieces in the new 2019 spring collections from the fabric houses. The popup window is titled "Partners" and is located on 320 Kings Road, Chelsea, between March 9-24.
The collaborators present the emerging trends of interior design through seven different concepts presented in sets of rooms and the underlying thread through all of them is the color and texture interaction in color ways, such as green, mustard, pink and blue that work alongside intricate woven textiles and abstract prints.
Key pieces on the screen will be the Parker chair, decorated with Jason Dona Souza, a caramel-rich cloth in a Romo linen curtain and Sofa & Chair Company's sofa bed has a new smart look in a sophisticated Romo you will be able to see on the window screen.
The bedroom has a tranquil green and blue palette, with Sofa & Chair Company's luxury Serra bed being refurbished in Porto Orange by the Guild Designer and complemented by the classic Monroe chair on the Puccini chair by Jason D & Souza.
The part of the collection for me should be the Neptune drink cabin, and I think when you see it you'll know why! The dark blue exterior is made of a lacquered shell with bronze linings in a celestial pattern and is placed on brass feet. The interior is designed to hold everything you need to make and display the perfect drink with multiple drawers, front brass shelves and rear mirrors.
There is also a dining room and living room to see that includes many more beautiful fabrics from these top brands beautifully covered with Sofa and Chair Company's iconic furniture.
This really sounds like an inspiring collaboration with a lot to see and wonderful to have the cooperation between the furniture and the fabrics, the houses are all different and offer something different, so I can not wait to see the furniture in the face. I'm on my way to Chelsea the first thing in the morning to check for myself and I suggest you do the same thing!
All pieces of furniture from the collection are sold for the duration of the pop-up.
Thank you for The Sofa and Chair Company for sponsoring this post.
