Things to Buy and Use to Stay Healthy During Covid19

I'm sure at this point you were in the store for a grocery run or you have seen the news about toilet paper and disinfectant hand sanitizers. And while having toilet paper and hand soap is important now, this list includes items that will make your time in isolating Coronavirus a little more fun.

Here are things to buy and use to stay healthy during the COVID-19 quarantine!

Order Receipt + Delivery

While many restaurants are closing and this is a great time to brush up on your cooking skills, sometimes ordering a retreat helps you feel a little more … well, normal!

Support your favorite local restaurant by placing an order or using apps like Postmates or UberEats to deliver your favorite food to your room.

Another way to support your coffee – if they sell their beans, you can grab a bag or two now.

Healthy Bidet

I said this list wouldn't include toilet paper, right?

COVID-19 isolation certainly shows how reliable we are at paper products, especially now that they are almost impossible to find. Fortunately, you can still get a bidet to help you stay clean – check out Tushy's bidet on Amazon!

Women's products are also flying off the shelves these days- which can be quiet nervewracking for us ladies.

However, you can support female entrepreneurs and consider Thinx, a brand that has created lingerie that can absorb menstruation. The best part is that they look like normal underwear and prevent leaks!

Support for local businesses

Local businesses now need your help more than ever. Whether it's a restaurant, a local boutique or an online store, there are many different ways you can support them.

A great way is to buy a gift card that you can use later. If you prefer something natural, buy jewelry, art, photos, etc. If you're looking for home-made products, look for Etsy before going to the big department stores. Target and Walmart will stay around. Small shops may not be able to.

COVID-19 isolation is a great time to start reading more. Many libraries and bookstores are closed, but that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your reading time. Whether you buy a natural Kindle or download the app to your phone, the Kindle lets you have every book you can imagine in the palm of your hand.

Something about your new hobby

This is also a great time to get a new hobby. What is something you are always interested in but do not have enough time to explore?

Once you decide what this is, buy something for this new hobby.

Whether it's a musical instrument, a candle set, a camera, a perfume kit or jewelry supplies, there are so many different shops that you can express your creativity.

A magazine

I absolutely love writing and a magazine can be very therapeutic, especially during the racing season. There is something very good about documenting your thoughts and getting them out on paper.

This will also be very interesting to look back over the next few years – think about reading a first comment on a major event in history.

Training equipment

Just because you are stuck at home does not mean you should stop focusing on your health and well-being. Put some money into training equipment and make yourself a small gym at home. A yoga mat, training belts, and hand weights are a great place to start.

All green

If you have the space to do so, create a small garden on your backyard or on your balcony. If space is not allowed, add a plant to your household collection. It is fun to be able to take care of another living thing and see it thrive when it gets the right sunlight and water. Plus it's one of the easiest ways to build a home as a home.

Calligraphy or manuscript

Take advantage of this Skillshare subscription and get a class or two on calligraphy or hands-on. Who knows, it could turn into a brand new hobby or business side!

DIY projects

If you have access to a garage, make room for DIY projects. A garage is a great workplace for things like furniture making, woodworking and other crafts. It can become your personal shelter during quarantine.

As I mentioned earlier, Etsy is one of the best places to shop. Especially if you are looking for a handshake during your time at home. You can get macrame supplies, embroidery, knitting supplies, sewing patterns, and more. This is the perfect time to start creating.

Style for summer

Even though we are at home, planning clothes and styles to come out later is a good way to promote morals. And maybe some new comfortable sweat pants styles if you work from home – I know I've already washed my pairs!
