Comics examine what's going on across the country on the way to the Best of Late Night.
Last night comic Trevor Noah spent all week in Miami – recording The Daily Show from a state that has some of the country's most controversial races and issues concerning its vote.
The showdown between former Deputy Ron DeSantis and the Tallahassee Municipality Andrew Gillum could end with the election of Florida's first black governor. And the passage of Amendment 4 will restore the voting rights to more than 1 million people in the state.
It was no surprise to Noah when President Donald Trump appeared in Florida. The comic was also not surprised when the Trump wore a well-known costume for DeSantis at Halloween (take a look at today's Best of Late Night, above, for Noah's description). But what was strange (if it is still possible to shock your Trump) was the President's suggestion that immigrants "enjoy" Americans "on your lawn." There is only one thing that can mean an unusual statement. Noah, confused, breaks it.
And Jimmy Fallon reveals what Trump said when he learned how close the middle election is.
